Cone 6: Desert Dusk is a warm amber matte glaze with crystals that melt into a glossy purple and blue. Heavier crystal application will produce more color variation.
Cone 10: Glossy purple/blue is more prominent. Increased movement.
TIP: SW-173 Amber Quartz is the base glaze. For a lighter crystal effect, you may try applying two coats of SW-173 Amber Quartz with a third coat of SW-180 Desert Dusk.
Wood and soda firing results will vary.
