Cone 6 oxidation: Rusted Iron is a semi-matte, opaque glaze that displays shades of metallic orange and brown. The variation of the glaze is dependent on application.
Thicker application results in metallic matte characteristics. Thinner application results in a smoother surface and darker color.
Cone 10: Increased orange/copper mottling. Increased movement.
TIP: This glaze WILL move. Take care when using on a vertical piece – reduce glaze thickness towards the bottom third to minimize run-off. Over application can cause pinholing or running.
