Cone 6 oxidation: Abalone is formulated to produce a breaking white and mauve semi-gloss glaze. Light applications will produce a more white semi-gloss finish. Use three+ coats to achieve semi-gloss Abalone finish. Clay body characteristics will be visible through this glaze.
Cone 10 reduction: Color darkens to purple.
