The decals feature 14 finely-detailed illustrations of colorful butterflies.
These decals can be used with ceramic, porcelain, glass or enamel. These decals work best with light glazes or glass. These are NOT food-safe. The same design is offered in a food-safe version for enamel and ceramic.
Once applied these decals need to be fired in a kiln. They cannot be fired in a home oven.
Ceramic artists: These low temperature decals are generally applied as a third firing on top of an already fired glaze. Once applied, these decals need to be fired in a kiln to CONE 018 to CONE 016 (1380°F / 750°C). Once fired, the decals become permanently fused with the glaze, similar to decorative dinnerware.
Decals are printed images made from mineral toners. The toners are either silkscreen or digitally printed on special paper coated in a water soluble glue. The colored images are then covered with a coating. When the decal is wet, the image is released from the paper, applied and fired in a kiln at approximately 1400F. Once fired these colors will become permanently embedded on top of the glaze.
