Custom Clay Batch Policies

    • A minimum order of 1500lbs plus a $200 set up fee is required for custom clay recipes. Custom clay is priced per pound based on Rovin’s cost of each of the materials in the provided recipe, and estimated labor costs.

     

    • Set-up fee is waived on orders of 3000lbs or more.

     

    • Lead time for all custom clay is approximately 6 to 8 weeks. This time may vary due to Rovin’s production schedule

    • Customer must provide payment in full for order at time of order confirmation.

     

    • No refunds, cancellations, or exchanges may be made once the custom clay is in production.

     

    • Due to production process, final quantity may not match exactly what is requested on original order, customer must take all of what was produced (final qty can vary by + or - approx. 300 lbs.) if quantity is slightly higher than original order, Rovin will take payment for extra amount at time of pick up, and refund difference if final about is slightly lower than original order quantity. If final quantity is slightly under and the customer originally ordered 3000lbs, customer will not be charged our $200 set up fee.  

     

    • Customer must pick up entirety of order at one time, if this is not possible, customer must make arrangements to pick up all of their order within a week of scheduled ready time. If customer does not pick up their clay within the agreed upon time frame, Rovin reserves the right to charge the customer a weekly storage fee for each week the pick-up is delayed. Arrangements for multiple pick-ups or shipping can be made with admin employees if needed. Due to lack of storage, Rovin cannot store custom clay orders in our warehouse for more than one week after completed production. 

     

    • Rovin is responsible for mixing a consistent homogeneous de-aired blend of the provided recipe and for mixing it to the customer’s desired consistency to the best of our ability. Rovin is not responsible for testing shrinkage, firing range, or any other qualities of the provided clay recipe. Testing to assure the recipe is well suited for making ceramic pottery and art work is the responsibility of the customer. Rovin is not currently able to provide comprehensive clay recipe research and development.

     

    • We aim for high quality and consistency in every batch of clay we make, however, if you feel there is something wrong with your clay, contact Rovin 734-424-3345 orders@rovinceramics.com as soon as you discover an issue. We strongly encourage you take photos of the defect you are finding and email them to Rovin. Issues that would qualify for exchange or refund would be flaws or clear inconsistencies in the moist clay.

     

    • By placing your order (providing payment and scheduling production) you have acknowledged and agreed to the above terms and policies regarding custom clay batches.
