Spectrum Raku Glazes are all lead-free and require a Raku firing process to achieve the results shown. Pieces are fired to 1750 degrees Fahrenheit (950 Celsius) in an electric or gas kiln. While still red hot, the glazed piece should be transferred into a reduction bin; commonly a small sealable metal container containing organic material. The reduction bin should be closed and the piece allowed to cool for at least twenty minutes before removing and cleaning it.
